New Hop and Michelle's Anniversary Blog Hop Winners

I hope everyone had fun on Michelle's Anniversary Blog Hop. I know I did.

I also want to tell you all to come back Feb. 25 & 26 for my One Anniversary SVG Blog Hop. Every stop (and I don't like huge hops so there will be maybe 10 stops) will have a card/card related SVG file for you. So if you have SCAL or MTC this would be a good time to get some great files.

But now on the important part.....the winners of Michelle's Anniversary Blog Hop.

We need to send a big Congrats to all the winners.

Day 3 - Sue D
Day 2 - Sher
Day 1 - Emily

and of course a big Congratulations to Michelle and Happy Blog-o-versary!

If you did not see my message in your mail box please email me at susanslomski@yahoo.com

Congrats again to all the winners.

Welcome to Day Three of Michelle's Anniversary Blog Hop

Welcome to day three of the Michelle's First Anniversary Blog Hop. We are helping Michelle celebrate with the theme of Snowmen! You should have arrived here from Heather's blog, Houses Built of Cards. If you just happened to stumble upon this hop, please be sure to go back to Michelle's Blog, Scrapbooking SOS to start at the beginning.

I owe you all a big apology. I had an extremely bad night and  for some reason thought yesterday was the last day and of course today is. You can imagine my horror now that I just got up and came here to pick the winner of the blog candy and found the hop had another day to go.

I didn't do another snowman project for the hop but I do have one I would like to show you I did in the past.

Yes, this was one of Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas but I just loved the way it came out and played with the colors and ink. I didn't have the stains or stamps that were required to make his but you would like to see what it was suppose to look like as well as how to make it then click here.

Now for some blog candy. How about this set of Fiskars Home Sweet Home Stamps?

How to win.
1. Be a follower.
2. Leave me a comment on this post with a way to contact you if you win.
3.Visit My Nook Blog and leave a comment under “Remembering the Bookstore” either about my memories or one of your own. Just so you know, this in no way “helps me win” the contest I entered the story in, I am simply curious about what you have to say on the subject. You do not need to follow My Nook Blog only this one to be eligible to win the candy. (Of course I would love it if you followed both.)

I thank you for hopping by and I hope you enjoyed your visit. Don't forget to stop on back tomorrow to see another project and have another chance to win another candy.
Your next hop is over to Cindy's blog…. My Creative Life.

Welcome to Day Two of Michelle's Anniversary Blog Hop

Welcome to day two of the Michelle's First Anniversary Blog Hop. We are helping Michelle celebrate with the theme of Snowmen! You should have arrived here from Heather's blog, Houses Built of Cards. If you just happened to stumble upon this hop, please be sure to go back to Michelle's Blog, Scrapbooking SOS to start at the beginning.

Today I did a 6x6 card keeping in the snowman theme...

Recipe:
Georgia-Pacific Cardstock (white)
Cardstock from the shelf of JoAnn's (white and blue)
Michael Miller Memories Cotton Fabric Paper (green)
SVG File I made (Matte)
Sentiments Stamp - unknown
Inkadinkado Stamp (two pine trees on right)
Stamps by Judith (pine branches on left)
See-D's Stamps (snowman)
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Evergreen Bough
Snowflake Punch - Marvy
Snowflake Brad
Stickles - Gold, Crystal
Glossy Accents
Copic Markers - Y02, YR09, B0000, B000, C1, C3, E17, G05, R29, 100

Unfortunately you can not tell that the snowflakes have Stickles that shine so bright (they almost look off white in the picture) nor can you tell the words (matte) have Glossy Accents on them which look like they were in an ice storm. The green background fabric paper also glistens with gold sparkles which the snowman's band around his hat matches. I'm really sorry you can't see how this card shines.

Now on to the blog candy....I hope you enjoyed my card and like my SVG File. I am sure you can think of other ways of using it than I did. How about using it on a page for a picture Matte? Journal Matte? Whatever you think of for a use, try it out. Look on the left sidebar for my free files and download  the "Winter SVG" file.

I am sure you all don't have SCAL or MTC so how about some real blog candy?

Fiskars Perfect Blend Stamp Set.

Playing With My New Camera Again

I hope everyone likes birds as much as I do. I know that is all I seem to be taking pictures of but I am still playing with my camera. Birds are great to take pictures of because everyone knows what they look like and how big they are so when I say I took the pictures from 40 feet away you can visualize in your mind what the bird would look like from that distance.
I caught two Blue Jays in a tree about 40 feet away. All I did to the pictures is crop them and two of them I lightened a little because of my angle and the dark sky (it was a rainy day) two of the pictures came out a little darker than I like.

The Ferret Page

Here is a Liftateer page I did using Fiskateer Rian's layout as inspiration. Although mine does not look like her's I did use the three photos in a row across the page and to make sure I did some story/explaination on it just as she had done on her layout. I did type mine where she handwritten hers which was on the top of the page but that is ok. It is the "elements" that I had lifted and not the exact layout or way she did hers (copy) that I used.

Recipe:
White Cardstock 12x12 from my stash.
White Cardstock from Georgia-Pacific for journal, title and date plus matting on the pregnancy test strip.
K&Company Cuddly Friends Printed Embossed Vellum.
Purple-ish Cardstock from my scrap stash.
George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge for title and date.
Computer printed for journal.
