New Manly Card

I have a problem finding the right images or colors for a card or even a page for a male. Yeah a little flower or even a little pink will go on the kids page but what about a full grown man? None I know of. Heck, now a days the little ones tell me flowers are for girls...LOL. With the help of Stampin Up I have found a great image and got to play with the water color crayons. This is the card I did. It is not perfect but I love it.
Sorry about the bow. When I put it on the scanner I didn't check it but I am sure you can figure out the way it is suppose to go.

Pictures of Long Ago

I came across the box I had packed after the fire. I am so glad I came across it as it is still soot covered and I need to get these pictures out of it before they are lost forever. The first one I came across is of my mother and father on their wedding day having drinks. I am not sure if this was before or after the ceromony and I don't know the names of the two other people but I do know that is the Best Man and Maid of Honor. My father was in the Air Force and I know they are on base (somewhere in FL).

Breathtaking

Here is a LO I did from a sketch in my Yahoo Group. It called for a simple title so I used "Breathtaking" and submitted it for the challenge. I then added "Blue Ridge Parkway, VA" on the top before adding it to my book.
For whatever reason (and don't ask me why) I love that photo of the tree on the bottom right. I can sit and stare at it all day. For those of you who never taken the drive along the Parkway (don't let that fool you, the average speed is 25 mph) it is worth the trip.

The Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award

I recieved this award some time ago from Jessica at Chick-n-Scrap however my computer was down so I wasn't able to grab it. Finally it is back and running so a big THANK YOU to Jessica. Please be sure to check out her blog as she has done some wonderful projects. You won't be sorry.

The rules for this award is:
1. Send a thank you to the person who nominated you and include their link.
2. List 7 random facts about yourself.
3. Pass this to at least 8 other awesome blog buddies.

Lets see, 7 random facts about me are:
1. I was remarried 4 years ago come December.
2. I found that I love DCWV Paper.
3. I love playing with ink although I am not very good at stamping yet.
4. The older I get the less patience I have with children.
5. I love going to crops although I think I can get more done at home.
6. I love animals (at times I think more than people...LOL).
7. I love photography although my 35mm cameras were not used in the past 5 years if not longer.

Now to pass it on to at least 8 blogs....
You all deserve it! I don't want to pass it on to those of you who don't want it so instead of driving myself crazy finding at least 8 of you, and drive you crazy because you don't want it/already have it. I pass it on to all of you who want it. (Yeah, I know....this is cheating but it doesn't say you can't do it this way.)

I don't see a way to change the date posted so I am sorry for the repeat of this card. If any one knows how to do it can you please let me know if you can back-date a post? Thanks.
Ingredients:
White Cardstock
Copic Markers
Leaf punch
3 Stamps (fence with little red flowers, leaf and words with bird)
Ribbon
Brad
Stickels
Sticker (front grass with the yellow)

What To Do With Photos When You Don't Know Who Is In Them

I am sure we all have come across a photo here or there that even though there may be something written on the back, you still have no clue who these people are. They must be important or your mother wouldn't have kept it but who are these people? Mother had passed many years ago so there is no way for me to ask her. This is how I handled this photo that I have no idea who these people are other than what information was written on the back. How they fit into the family or even if they are family members is a mystery. How do you handle your photos if you have no idea who the people are that are in them? Do you scrap them?
(Wouldn't it be great if we could do an "unknown blog hop" where we all show our scrapped pages (or other art) done with photos of people we need information on and one of the hoppers knows who the photo is of? Maybe something for me to think of for my next hop.)

Calling All CT & Area Peoople

On July 16th we are going to go to a crop at Wiggles & Giggles so if your in the area, come on over. It is from 10am-10pm. I will be bringing another Fiskateer with me from PA who is in my yahoo group.

In the meantime I was waiting for my computer to come back but it won't be here until maybe Tuesday so I want to catch up on some of my cards and the LO I did at our last crop.

That sandwich board does open and tells the story about working with Bug and some good times.

The scan didn't come out that great and I was told it was because of the glitz. You may not be able to tell from the photo but the vase is 3d and it is glitter....solid glitter. That is why the blurry looking paper and stamp but I assure you it is not blurry in RL.
Blogger is being a pain still so that is all I will upload now. Hope you enjoyed them. My next adventure is tear bears for a swap I am in. This should be fun so check back for your chance to win one.

I know you are on vacation yet you took the time to make and send this. Even your envelope is beautiful. Click on her name and it will take you to her site and you can see the beautiful LO she did using the stamps she won.
