End of the Year!

Well, this year wasn't the kindest to us but no sense of complaining as I'm sure it wasn't the kindest to so many. All we can do is hope next year will be better.

I haven't been posting on my books however I have read many. I will catch up on posting them soon.

As the year draws to an end I just wanted to wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Father/Daughter Dance 2016

My granddaughter Wynter's dance was fairy themed. This is the fairy dress we made her.

Bit of a Scare

Jerry had a heart attach years ago and had two stents put in. He remembered what the pain felt like after all these years because it isn't what you think it is. It wasn't something in his chest or his arm, it was across his shoulders and behind his neck. Anyways, he felt that same pain again so I away to the hospital for another stent. The kids came over to see their dad and that included Mark and his family all the way from FL though that tropical depression sitting there spinning off the Carolina coast. We finally got to meet our granddaughter, Melanie for the first time. Before they left I was able to grab a photo of them. Unfortunately, Danny wasn't here but it was nice to get a photo of them together since they live so far away and who knows the next time we will see them.

Busy, Busy, Busy...

I have been quite busy this year although my blog doesn't reflect it. I have been occupying my time with sewing. As you may recall a few years ago my husband bought me a new sewing/embroidery machine and I am finally putting it to use. In fact, it was a little over 4 years ago he bought because I wanted to make a quilt for the baby shower before Damien was born but my machine was so old and outdated that I couldn't even buy feet for it. You may recall the quilt I made Damien.

Of course I did it in a rush with only 3 days to the shower but little did I realize at the time how wrong I made it. I didn't use stabilizer when embroidering or anything but it was a learning experience and Christina loved the quilt.

So now that Damien is older, his taste changed and it was time for a new quilt...
The Walking Dead

(I don't have a twin size bed to show it on so just threw it over my queen size bed.)

This time, I used stabilizers and even though it is extremely heavy embroidering, it came out good.

I also am still working on my quilt.

(At this point I need to sandwich and quilt it. Then add the next strip and ruffles at the bottom.)

But I also make clothing.

This is still a work in progress. It is missing the rosettes.

I don't have photos of everything but I've been busy.
