Fiskars has delived bad news to all of us Fiskateers

To make a story shory short, there no longer will be a Fiskateer site as of Dec.16th like we have. They want  all of us Fiskateers to move to Facebook and the site will only be used by the leads. I don't have to tell many of you I do not post a lot on Facebook because of their policy of privacy. I do not want my photos being viewed by everyone on Facebook especially when I scrap a page of my grandchildren and lets just say it is the first day of school. Now I have pictures of my grandchild and possibly the school so every pedifile out there in Facebook Land has his/her name and what school they attend. It is a safty issue. Sure, I can block it out when I post but if I have to do that, what sense is there to posting my layout? So I am moving my photos here to my blog (those I didn't already post here) and several yahoo groups were started for the 'micro-groups' such as The Chatty Crafters. I am not crazy about having to use yahoo groups but it is better than loosing contact with all my fellow Fiskateers. I just can't believe after all these years Fiskars has just dumped us.

  1. Tragic, all of it. But they've been giving us plenty of signs that it was coming... in the form of terrible decisions and policies that alienate those of us who have been so loyal. Ugh.

  2. Yes, I knew something was up but it didn't dawn on me that they would do this. Now thinking back, all the signs were there all along.
