Welcome to Day 3 of Jillian's Birthday Blog Hop and Winner from Day 2

Welcome to Jillian’s Birthday Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Yolie.  If you just happened to stumble upon this hop, please be sure to go back to Jillian’s blog so you don't miss any of the wonderful projects we have to share. Each day I will be posting a new project with new blog candy for you to win so be sure to come back each day.

For today’s project I made Jillian an ice cream cone. Now everybody likes ice cream (well, almost everyone) but I think everyone will like this one….no calories!

The one thing I will say about this is that I could not find the embossing folder for the cone part. There is one (I forget the name off hand) that has squares/diamond shapes on it and it is perfect for making an ice cream cone. I went to 3 stores (hours away) and still didn’t find it so the best I could do is to come up with this brown textured looking paper.

Just a little note….I put lots of ice cream on that cone however you can start it lower and arrange it so when you flip it over, the ice cream does not show above the white paper if that bothers you.

Recipe:
Card Stock from my stash
Brown printed paper from my stash
Sizzix Petal Cone Die
Stamp from Hero Art
Memento Rich Cocoa Ink
Tear Drop Punch (not sure who made it)

I hope you enjoyed the ice cream cone. I thought it was a nice project as it doesn’t matter if you are a girl or a boy it would be fitting. Speaking of boys….it is hard at times to find things for boys so today’s candy is this clear stamp set by Cloud 9 Design, Simple Thoughts-Boys.

For a chance to win just be a follower and leave me a comment telling me if you would rather have a baked cake or an ice cream cake for your next birthday.. 6. very cute! FYI- Stampin' Up! offers a Sizzix texture place that would work for the waffle cone. It is called Perfect Details. You can order it from me if you like.

  11. Was it the Tim Holz embossing folder Checkerboard and Cracked? My girlfriend made a cone with that one and it looked pretty good. Sorry you couldn't find it.

This is a really cool card! I love it! I am an ice cream and cake girl.
