Day 2
You should have come from Tifany 5942. If you are hopping into the middle of our blog hop and you are a Fiskateer, you can start here www.fiskateers.com.If you are thinking a “Fiskawhat?”, you should know that Fiskateers (www.fiskateers.com) is an online community of craftiness (paper crafts, sewing, gardening, etc.) all based around our love and appreciation of Fiskars (think orange-handled scissors to start). There is a blog, gallery, and message board led by four lovely Lead Fiskateers who along with the other Fiskateers are fabulous at getting creativity flowing via chats, challenges, on-line crops, and interviews with other crafty celebrities. If you would like to join in the inspiration of Fiskateers, or would like to learn more, you can email Tami (one of the Lead Fiskateers) at tami@fiskateers.com. Then, join in the fun at the beginning, www.kellystarsallthingscrafty.blogspot.com for a complete list of blog hop stops.
We’ll be hopping all weekend , March 24th and 25th to welcome spring!
The blog hop officially ends on Sunday March 25th at 11pm CST.
Some Fiskateers are offering sur-prizes…check their directions carefully to participate.
For today's project I thought about what I am doing this spring. I guess we all get spring fever and really want to go out and get away. It is a time of travel for many after being indoors all winter long so I made another card. This one is made with an ATC I made of my state. I will be having a friend from one of my groups come up to CT in May so I would like to give her a nice welcome card. If she wants to, she could take the ATC off the card later and scrap her pages of the trip and use the ATC as an embellishment. Totally up to her but that was the idea behind doing a card this way. I am so looking forward to her visit. We are going to be going to ME for a few days to a crop. Yep, can you imagine traveling that far to a crop?
Recipe:
White Cardstock - Georgia Pacific
Background paper- Unknown
Sizzix Embossing Folder
Sanding block
Computer for "Welcome to"
Fiskars Budding Flower Corner Punch
CT ATC
(ATC was made with an SVG I made of my state because the one on the State Cartridge is wrong however I did use it for the bird and flower and such.)
(See the post below for picture of blog candy.)
For another chance to win the blog candy, all you have to do is....
1. Be a follower
2. Leave me a comment and tell me the furthest you travelled to a crop.
Be sure you leave a way for me to contact you if you win!
Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope you enjoyed the hop. The winner will be announced on Monday.
Now make like a bunny and hop on over to Ladydoc Karen 2858.
The cartridge had your state wrong ? That's interesting.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a crop ever ! But no need to enter me, I am trying not to follow or subscribe to any thing for a while :)
Wonderful card for your friend. I have only been to one crop and it was about an hour away. I took my new daughter-in-law.

This is great idea! I am sure your friend will appreciate the card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! Your friend will love it!
ReplyDeleteStill no RAK for me, but I guess the furthest I ever traveled to a crop is from AZ to NY - I did take cropping tools with me, but that crop may not count, it was actually a trip to see my niece. So, I woould have to say to Glendale, AZ for AZ US of F. It was approximately 85-90 miles away.
Love this card! Furthest I have travelled to a crop is about 30 miles but I have to travel about 140 miles to really be able to buy scrapbook supplies.

Never seen that corner punch in use-it is really pretty. The farthest I've ever traveled to crop-is down the hall! Sorry I couldn't resist-but I really have never been to a crop.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a crop! I've only done virtual crops on line, which I do really enjoy :o)
ReplyDeleteI love this card and idea Sue! The farthest I've ever been was to go to the Fiskafriendzy in Long Beach CA. I don't remember exactly, but something like 380 miles and so worth it.
ReplyDeleteWell look at you making two different projects to post for the blog hop...you are making the rest of us look like slugs! just kidding...what a great idea to give to your visiting friend
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of using an ATC as an embellishment on a card...great idea!
ReplyDeleteThe farthest I've gone to a crop is about an hour and a half...but I did go to CHA and do a little crafting there at one of the events and that was about 11 hours away (driving time, but I flew).

ReplyDeleteNice card! I like how you added an ATC as part of the card, great job. I am now following. Farthest I traveled to a crop was for charity and that was from San Diego to Florida. About an five hour plane ride. Thanks for sharing another project. Lisa #4791
ReplyDeleteI like your card, nice idea for a visiting friend. I'm now a follower, too. I really haven't traveled very far for a crop, I guess an hour's drive, so maybe 35-40 miles.
